Tympanik Audio is a fairly new label based out of Chicago Heights, Illinois. Since September of last year they’ve amassed an impressive roster which includes Jason Hollis’ project, Endif. Hollis has a new album out today (read our Endif interview) which has been a long time in the making and even though I’m still working on the review (we’re a little backed up here at CastleDTC) you can find links and info to all their intriguing acts on their site. And while you’re at it check out Endif’s MySpace for some samples of the brilliant new material and/or to catch up on the classic stuff. I don’t want to give much away but Carbon may just wind up being one of my favorite releases this year. It’s that impressive.
The people behind this label have accomplished plenty of exhaustive self-promotion (which, let’s face it, is something I can appreciate), but if you haven’t yet heard of them or made yourself familiar with their artists you owe it to yourself to do some research into what they have to offer. There’s plenty of magnificent music on the horizon from this unique source.
