So here are a couple events that should make this weekend enjoyable now that the motley Cruxshadows have packed up and shipped out after Wednesday’s Varsity Theater show;

Ground Zero’s The Next Element brings back their “Gong Show” theme once again tonight. The last time they did this it packed the house and made for a raucous evening of irresistible entertainment. You’ll either be there or be forced to hear about how much fun it was for weeks after. So don’t miss it.

Saturday night local legends Impaler will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary with a show at Station 4. Expect many former members to make an appearance and lots of fake blood to be spilled. It’ll be like a tinnitus-inducing version of a one-stop Zombie Pub Crawl that requires little effort on your part. Just show up an expect something loud and horrific. Stalwarts Cold Colours will open the show at 9:30.
