According to their MySpace page, Skinny Puppy are on the verge of releasing a new album and conducting a 2009 tour. What does this mean? You get to hear the hundred or so people scattered across the globe who still give a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut what Skinny Puppy do debate on whether or not it’s even worth it.
And they’re all douches. Fact: SP are legendary. Fact: both Cevin and Ogre are fantastic songwriters who still have some tricks up their sleeves as evidenced by their recent projects. Fact: you should never count brilliantly creative minds out, particularly when we’ve have been subjected to act after act rehashing Terror Banana and other regurgitations of the verse-chorus-verse-chorus formula with distortion added to give them “cred” in “teh sceen.”
I’m not making any predictions on this one. But who knows? Maybe the Puppy machine still has some life left in its rusted sprockets. In any event we’ll get another shot at a wildly entertaining live show. I have yet to be disappointed by SP live.

Am I the only one who really liked Mythmaker? I know it’s not vintage but it was still pretty darn good.
I guess maybe I’m one of the 100 people who cares, but you’re right, seperately they are both relevant so why not?
