So the new W.A.S.T.E. album is finally being released at the end of the month, courtesy of Vendetta Music (Vendetta’s site is apparently getting an overhaul). I make no secret of my adoration for W.A.S.T.E. When it comes to thick, dark, heavy Industrial few others can match the power of W.A.S.T.E.’s music. Powernoise has little power in comparison. And their arrangements are typically SO much better than the standard, mindnumbing Powernoise pound-pound-pound-pound aesthetic. Rhythms shift and ephemeral noises fade in and out while the distortion eats away at the speakers. Nay! Your very trembling earbulbs!
If you like your music intense with a capital TENSE and you don’t currently own any W.A.S.T.E. (aaand apparently their site is also in the midst of an overhaul) your CD collection is seriously lacking. But you can preorder A Silent Mantra Of Rage here. I’m not sure as to the availability of their previous albums, Violent Delights and This Is What We Seek (which came in a standard edition and a 2CD collector’s tin at one point) but I believe they’re sold out and out of print. Y’might wanna check ebay because they are must-haves.
In the meantime you can pick up their latest work. And you should. You have it on the highest authority (ME) that W.A.S.T.E. fucking rules. Check out their MySpace page for more.
