You could have somehow contributed to a few conversations on the board and maybe posted an introduction to explain who you are before shoving spam down our throats. That would have been an example of "good message board etiquette."

Now that the internet has gotten slightly(!) popular, isn't the whole idea of a 'zine kinda... pointless and outdated?

I mean, if you delivered them on horseback, then it would be kinda retro-cool. But you're just mailing them out! Pffft.

Why don't you just put everything on a website and save some trees?

Having created several zines over the years, I remember that zine etiquette said that you could exchange cash, or something of equal value to the zine, usually your own zine. Not having any British currency, or any new zine, I offer this, which is worth at least (but probably much more than) the price:
