not sure if you're joking, but yeah, it's pretty rough on the homeless this time of year.

I just discovered the fun of being outdoors this Fall, so now I feel trapped by this cold. Forty more degrees and I'm back out in it.

It's a serious issue. The homeless that endure this cold weather are mentally ill for the most part, and many lack the ability or knowledge to seek help. In this state, there are forms of help available and we have some great programs for getting people back on their feet- however the mentally disadvantaged often are unaware of the programs and do not know how to take advantage of them. There are people who actually beat as part of outreach programs who attempt to find these individuals and bring them to the help they need, however it's a huge task to say the least and the manpower or funding just doesn't exist to make a serious dent. Most of the programs which provide long-view assistance to the homeless are aimed at people who can be rehabilitated into wage-earning situations which don't always apply to those who are unable to care for themselves.

No... but I don't think it's cold enough to make glaciers.

Anyway, it will be spring soon enough. Today it was 18*F... that's almost t-shirt weather!

Global warming..... hmmmm here is some proof.... yesterday it was like 40 degrees and this weekend there is going to be a blizzard as i quote channel 4 weatherman "out of a 1-5 scale this snow storm is going to be a 6"

Leave it at the 40-degree days in February. If not global warming, then it will probably be another drought year...

I can't wait for the blizzard. I'm watching for it!

Goddammit I want a Brownie Earthquake with cocoa fudge RIGHT NOW.
But I can't even open my deck door because it's completely covered with a thick sheet of ICE. I don't even wanna KNOW what state my poor car is in right now.

The radio called this kind of blizzard a "panhandle hook", because the storm system originated in the Texas & Oklahoma area.
Also, that really wet storm that hit Oregon & Washington last week... Watching the radar images, it looked like there was a squirtgun in the Pacific squirting storms at the coast.
I love weather.

It sounded somewhat nicer when Prince said, "The cold keeps all the bad people away."
