Sounds like the reaper got cheated out of a few souls yesterday
Of the 79 injured only four casualties as of this morning.
20 are still missing and unaccounted for...
polish yer karma, folks, this could have been a whole lot worse.

Those of you who need to navigate around the chaos may find this helpful:

I do commute across that bridge sometimes, I may have yesterday but went home early due to illness.

Terrible tragedy.

This is an excellent opportunity for our local and federal governments to win back some of that trust they have squandered away lately
Transparency and accountability need to permeate this investigation
No preferential treatment
No obfusication of the facts
No coverups
This needs to be a lesson in how to fix this problem instead of people stepping just enough out of the way not to get prosecuted
The best thing for us as citizens to do at this time is to pay attention and understand the inevitable failings of any system
This could have been an accident or it could have been negligence
We need to prepare ourselves for either outcome and be informed citizens when it happens

I blame the liberals.

The construction company would have hired better people if they wouldn't have had to pay a payroll tax. they would have used better materials if they didn't have to pay tax on them.

I think everyone had a hand in this.

Finally our gov. stopped work on stupid second stadium (supporting a private business with our tax money) and got attention on something more important. Unfortunately people had to sacrifice their own lives to show them. Sad very, very sad!

The one with the most truth is funnier:

liberal pinko steel is "limp" & weak, it tends to bend to whatever pressures are placed upon it.

Cut & Run Steel acts as tho it it cares & pretends to be strong, but when things get a lil' hot & heavy it SNAPS like a twig.

Hence, seeing that the bridge video shows a quick, rapid collapse, Cut & Run Steel is funnier. 8)

i disagree with your initial supposition.

i respond with a counter example. observe the following two statements, both of which are jokish.

1. george bush is president of the united states.

2. a squirrel wearing a stovepipe hat and a beard is president of the united states.

while the first statement is certainly truer, it is hardly funny. squirrels that dress like abe lincoln are pretty funny. cut n run steel is still quite humorous, tho.

Union members go on strike. Unions are Kommie Pinko establishments.

Cut and Run has nothing to do with it, while it is a humorous observation.

Of course, trying to show fisty a logical theorem is like trying to teach synthetic division to a slightly retarded orangatang.
