Um, does anyone here happen to like hockey? I have an extra ticket for tonight's game and I need a cohort. Get back to me asap!

I kinda dig their jerseys. Otherwise, no.

I've been to one hockey match. It was back in '91 while I was still in college. A guy in my English class brought me to a Northstars game. We "tailgated" in the parking lot before hand and I drank half a bottle of vodka. He bought me three beers during the game. I was smashed and don't remember much. But apparently I kept putting my hand into the glass of beer thinking I could drink it through absorption or something.

I don't think hockey is my thing. People get crazy into it, but I've yet to see the big draw. It's cool when I learn that there are people on here that actually dig sports though.

Aw, it's so sweet of you guys to reply. Thanks!

Apparently, I AM the only sports liker on this board. Although, I ONLY like hockey, and I am rather put out that the person I was going with backed out at the last minute, I hate going alone.
Rant over.

Not my thing either: but have a great time at the game. I don't like most U.S. sports much, but it was fun to karaoke "We Are The Champions" in Pittsburgh after they won the Super Bowl. Go Wild (and other hockey chants)!!

But I'm so used to seeing a good team like the DALLAS South Stars

Seriously uncalled for.

Well, considering the Twins tanked, the Gophers are in the toilet, the Vikings will never amount to anything (why haven't we sold the team?), and the Timberwolves have never been a source for much inspiration (even with Garnett), at least the Wild have offered up hope that we could potentially win some kind of championship. Eventually.

I get really pissed at talks of a new football stadium. With all the areas of society that could use money, to dump millions in the laps of one of the biggest loser football teams in the history of the NFL is, at best, brutally offensive.

Yeah, that's pretty annoying too. Tell me when was the last time the Vike's had an entire season sell-out? Bullshit.

Also not my thing.

And with any sport, I prefer it on TV. I've been to baseball, football and hockey games, but I can never see as much as when I'm watching it on TV.

And I typically don't even want to watch it on TV.

I might go to more live sporting events after they figure out a way to incorporate those cool big-budget Superbowl commercials into them.
