Actually, the old Gothbowl events we used to hold were pretty damn fun. Definitely something to consider.

snow sledding? I know a few friends who use to have some pretty "bomb" spots to sled around mpls.

Otherwise there are things like movie night (at an apt or house) or if anyone knows someone who works at the lagoon or uptown we should be able to talk them into doing private after close showings (I know they used to do this when I knew people who worked there).

Rollerskating is an option, I know there is a place not too far from uptown (I think...) The big muscled guy with the shaved head at gz goes to that rink every freaking week.

Old country buffet? I'm down with the OC Bee
AA meetings?
Opium den?

That's a good idea too. Rollergarden is probably the place your thinking of. It's right on W. Lake St.
I'll bet Erin knows the best nights to go since she put together a few events there in the past.

A little, I was just thinking about the old country buffet mascot and figured I would throw it out there as an option :)

Getting together for some chow isn't a bad idea. We could start a supper club and meet up at various restaurants, especially affordable ones that would let us sit around and gab after.

I dunno about Old Country, though.

Well I'd be all over that! (just to make sure the boardgame momentum doesn't squash the Gameworks thought)

I usually only play Ghost Squad there (most "bang" for the buck), but if it was "play-all-you-want for a fixed fee", that would be a fantastic opportunity to play through those annoyingly-cheap quarter-stealing games like House of the Dead /II/III/IV.

Hell, we could have a Zombie Arcade Crawl. How funny would it be for zombies to be shooting their own kind? Okay, maybe not that funny... but "DanceDanceRevolution Zombie VS Pirate dance-off videos" would be priceless.

i'd much rather play board and card games. i don't play many video games, so $10 would be a complete waste to me. I'd rather buy a $10 bottle of wine and go to someones house and play games.

Sledding is cool - inebriated sledding can be better. More risky though. Not sure my tailbone ever recovered from when I was 22 and tried that out.
Movies in house are sweet due to being cheap. I like cheap.
If we could arrange to go into the Lagoon after close that would rock. I'd put money toward that.
I'm not much of a skater. :) But the Rollergardens are fun, depending on when we go those of us with kids could roll that into one big event. My son loves going there. I understand there is a lot of hip hop music there.
We need mulled wine for in house events. Definitely.

We could always take turns shaving THE DEVIL. I have heard he squeals like a man-girl.

Well, as long as it's not an upper decker, it's fine by me!

Also, not that anyone probably cares too much (because I haven't exactly been much of a presence down there in a while), but I canNOT attend events with alcohol for a while, since my SO shouldn't be around alcohol for a while.

I'm not trying to piss on anyone's parade, just stating it like it is.
