How have you stimulated the economy?

Or are you one of those unlucky bastards still waiting for the check?

Went towards a ticket to the Twin Cities...so I can spend more at all your local businesses. Woohoo!

Cheers from Nashville.

I haven't gotten mine yet; the tail-end of my SSN puts me at the tail-end of the list.

The whole thing is such a stupid idea --
(you're giving me back some of my tax money to stimulate the economy?
Wouldn't it have been more efficient to just LET ME KEEP IT?)
-- that I really want to make some kind of point with it.

I mean, Joe Whitebread is gonna drive his OPEC-product-guzzling pickup out to Walmart and "stimulate our economy" by buying a cartload of cheap crap that was shipped in from China. Seems rather counterproductive, but what are the other choices?

A Roth IRA contribution was my best idea. Kind of a "Yeah, you idiots bankrupted the social security system and incented companies to outsource all the jobs overseas so pensions have become a faint memory of bygone days" F-U to the government.

Or just not-cashing it. Send it back voided with a note saying "This should be enough to cover the accrued interest on the national debt for about a 10-millisecond timespan." But that would be lost on some drone who'd just toss it in the wastebasket.

So I'm thinking 89.3 The Current will probably accept third-party checks. It's one of the few remaining radio stations that isn't owned by a conglomerate, it still has local DJs (although that "Mock Weet" guy ain't from 'round these parts ;), I owe them for Kraftwerk tickets, they actually play stuff like Lush and Weezer and Elastica and (!!!)Prodigy, AND it's a non-profit. And hell, is anything other than music still "Made in USA"??

I stimulated my future, by moving up my debt free date.

By November, I'll be a financial force.

(Or maybe back deeper in debt)

I had to twist my own arm to spend some of it this afternoon.
I bought an mp3 player, a messenger bag, and a nice Chianti.

That's not funny because you can't drink a Chia Pet.

Hot.

We actually bought a new TV and an armoire in which to house it a few months ago. Our check went to paying off the credit card we used. So we prematurely stimulated. I have yet to ejaculate.
