Post These are the neatest speakers I ever saw
I am thinking about multiple speaker applications for the street
If these work, I can construct speaker boxes that double as hard cases for my gear

Wonder how they actually sound. Very hard to tell from the video.

I'm sure that the material you attatch them to has a lot do do with it

I got one of these as a gift but haven't gotten around to tinkering with it yet.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be hard to find an object that'd be loud enough to annoy people in the next cubicle in an enclosed space, but I doubt it's got enough "oomph" to compete with traffic noise on a busy street outdoors.

Note that it's powered by a USB port or 2 AAA batteries, so don't expect it to shake your ribcage or anything...

I am contemplating spending about $400 on two portable PA boxes with rechargable 12 hour batteries

However, with that kind of money, I could buy quite a few of those things
Instead of running all of my devices though a mixer, perhaps I could construct the boxes according to what device they are serving
Each electronic device could have one or more speakers that run directly out of the headphone jack
You could then dictate what size box and what material for each application
Also, i am curious to what kind of feedback might be avoided
Running a vocal processor with distortion through a speaker onstage is impossible anywhere near a speaker (I have to feed it through my headphones)

So, the concept is not how loud one can get but how could you use 6 or 8 of these things to compliment each other

One of the guys in my studio has a pair that I checked out
It was cool but there's no way it would produce any kind of volume
No matter how many you used
Plus, the "sales" person at the company was totally useless
I asked them how many decibels they were capable of producing
She responded several times with "A boat is cool and so is a picture frame" etc....

It was a cool idea, anyway. Bummer it won't work out.

Looks really nice but probably something that would be quite hard to actually point out considering the actually contraction and mix that they go with.

Neat looking but I am more intrigued to actually listen and know how they sound in a linear and more real life setting.

Thank you for sharing the post anyway and just added something new for people to be more familiar and check with.
