Post Hello
Hi my name's Joseph.
I just moved to Minneapolis not too long ago.
I like industrial, Gothic (Bauhaus, The Cure) and i've been getting into Deathrock music.

So... whats up?

Hi! Have you had a chance to sample our various goth/indust/darwv/ebm/whatev. venues?

Post Re: Hello
hello hello! welcome to the twin cities joseph! i'm sarah, and if you see me out and about, i currently have blue hair. chamber is a night that i like to go and dance, but not many people go to. the other place i think you might enjoy is hard monday at the saloon (hennepin & 9th). my favorite week to go (although i am usually there every week) is on the 4th monday, darker monday, because that's the night they play more goth rock and death rock selections, which doesn't get played enough on other nights and at other clubs in my opinion. i'm usually out on the dance floor in whatever alt club i'm in. if you see me in person, be sure to say hi! ^_^

I spend most of my free time in cemeteries. Dancing is such a "happy" activity. I do not understand the appeal.

i guess dancing is a release for me, because i'm such a non-violent person. it just lets me have an outlet for life's stresses and it's more fun to do than go for an official workout. i used to not dance in public because of my shyness, until one day i said "f*ck it!", and the rest is history.
now, if there are some strong beats playing (industrial/ebm/synthpop) or something i can recognize, i can't help resist moving, which then turns to dancing. i however still cannot understand or dance to this dubstep stuff that keeps getting played, i just can't catch the beat.

I'm very non-violent too, but I prefer music with a weak beat. A barely-alive pulse.

when my wife and i went out east on vacation several years ago, we spend most of our times in cemeteries. a place with shrines erected in memory tends to be rather memorable for some reason.

What's this? A contrarian comment from Zombo? That's so fresh!

What's the problem Ether? Another band breakup or something? You're excessively angry lately.

You must be thinking of someone else Zombo. The only band of mine I've had break up was one I was in for ten years, and that's old news. I'm not the one crabbily posting poorly thought out contrarian remarks- you are.
