Hello everyone! Miss Melinda has been telling me I should join for quite some time now. Which I did (in January), but had yet to introduce myself...so, here I am! >=)

Anywho, my name is Ingrid (or Ingi). I'm 24 years old and have always lived in Minneapolis. I graduated from Culinary school a few years ago and am hoping to go back to get my degree specifically in pastries this summer. I love to bake and would someday like to own my own pastry shop with a decent selection of vegan goods. I make some awesome vegan thin mints. I mostly enjoy vegetarian cuisine, though I will eat fish (<3 sushi) and chicken on occasion.

I'm addicted to celtic jewelry, irish pubs, john cusack and men in kilts (yum). I've been dying to get some celtic tattoos done for years, but haven't had the time (I work too damn much) to find a good artist yet. Any recommendations? I'd really like to get another piercing or two (I've got ears and tongue pierced), however my job won't permit me to (especially being a front of the house assistant manager), oh well. I love 80s music (and movies), no matter how cheesy some of it is. I also enjoy reading, writing, movies, music and video games...as well as going to Renn Fest, Irish Fair and the Scottish Fair (again, the kilt thing).

I love to go out and have a good time. I'm usually at Ground Zero on Thursdays and sometimes Saturdays (but, would like to check out some new places) and can generally be found upstairs for a good part of the evening (or chatting with Melinda). I'm a bit shy at first, but love meeting new people and hope to meet some of you this Thursday at Rubber Ball X. After a few drinks I can get a bit talkative and goofy. Just look for the girl with really long hair, celtic jewelry and glitter...it will most likely be me.

Hmm...and I was planning on keeping this short...

Welcome to the board!

I'm a big fan of celtic things myself, so you're not alone there.

What do you do out at the ren fest? I'm a nanny during the day, drunkard by night.

(And I second the men in kilts thing.)

Welcome!

F.uck. I missed the tattoos and cusak because I got distracted by the men in kilts comment.

What mamagoth likes, I like. High Fidelity is tied for my favorite movie, and I have...erm...a bit of ink myself.

I generally pronounce it Kull-inary, but have been known to use Que-linary on occasion.

I usually just wander around having fun, buying things and drinking, however I was talked into volunteering for "King of the Log" this year. I'm looking forward to getting to hang out with the Renn Fest regs.
