Post Ghastly Greetings.
Hello all, relocated here from Missouri in March to be with my husband. Me: Taurus male, pagan, tattoo collector, voracious reader, movie buff. Drop me a line, okay.

Welcome to gothling. This board is kind of like beer: tastes nasty at first, but you soon can't live without it, and if you have too much you wake up the next morning with a nasty headache and someone in your bed who shouldn't be there, but who you can't seem to get up the energy to kick out.

...well, ok, so that's just me we're talking about, drats. Welcome nonetheless.

well, then you're probably interested in minneapolis' great trannie-rock scene.

and the EBM practically goes without saying.

oh, lay off the trannies, and please appreciate them, as there aren't any where I live and I miss them. There also don't appear to be any local goth bands here. On the Dallas goth message board, all they do is bitch about how the Cruxshadows never come to town. Poor bastards, they don't know what good music is.

that said, EBM must die.

Hello to all of you, it's really great to be so welcomed. We should all meet for coffee sometime. Maybe I could host a goth coffee night some weekend? Everyone stay in touch, please.

I used to host a coffee night, but people seem much more interested in liquor here, so now we put together bar nights instead.

Welcome.

A bar night would be good, any ideas of a bar to take over? I figure; if you're gonna be a goth, be a Visigoth, eh? Or for our friends from down under, an Austrogoth! Okay, I guess it's time for a drink on that merry f**kin' note. Brazen Hussy, anyone? They're great, it's like a Cosmopolitan, only with lemonade instead of cranberry juice. Created during the Jazz Age of the 20's, they are said to be a favorite of one T. S. Eliot. Any weekend plans? Going with hubby and our friend Dana to see Sky Captain & the World of Tomorrow tomorrow/Saturday. Felt the need to add that, instead it sounded a bit repititious.

I'd be down with coffee, or a nice bar that serves coffee.

Welcome.

The CC club is a dive(ish) bar in Uptown that is pretty cool. As far as Gothy bars go there is Ground Zero on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Hard Mondays at the Saloon, Pandora's Box at Micky D's Club 100 in Anoka on Wednesdays and Element 27 in the First Ave VIP room on Fridays. - Check the Events section of the board for more info.

Me? Confused? Never...I'm just a Gemini.

And btw...it's Club 100 in Anoka on Wednesdays. Mikki B's was the bar upstairs that is now some weird little Mexican bar called Coculas or something...

So, if I was to host a night for us some evening at a local place that serves something for everybody (coffee/beer/wine/goodies), would you all be interested in coming? Let me know.

I've heard good things about The Saloon, there might very well be brownies as well. ShadowKittie, thanks for the compliment on my login. It springs from my joint love of Rob Zombie and Soul Cinema, formerly known as blaxploitation. Let me ask about this place's policies and such, and I'll post when I know more! Autumnal Equinox creeping up on us soon, anyone got any plans?
