I work at a hotel now.
They pay me 7.50 an hour to read wikipedia articles, and occaisonally deal with guests.
So, what've you kids been up to?

I'm building a miniature casket for my Senior Thesis project about macabre humor. And design.

You're right. That's probably a good idea, Drok. Picture has been changed. Manna, I'm hoping there will be pictures of said coffin in the near future? Rockula, I'm expecting great art to come out of this catalyst. And devil, I hope that I won't be forgotten in this new world order, oh, and tell Mommagoth I said she's amazing.

*chuckles* hookers. I work in a small hotel, it, understandable only as two floors. A skinny coked out kind of girl shuffles in a couple of months ago asking for the tenth floor. *sighs* Some weird guy who works with the native americans out here I guess had called for her, of course, he's back in house this weekend, so I fully expect to see another hooker.

I miss that cat. That was the neighbor's cat, and she used to sit on my back all the time. However, now, she's either too old to go outside, or she's dead. And the new cats are vicious, angry, soulless bastards.
I need a new mascot animal.

I heard the reason Peter Murphy didn't continue the Bauhaus gig was he was joining Billy and the Boingers (originally "Deathtongue").

How's the real estate crunch hitting Minneapolis?

We're slower, but since we're a flat fee MLS, we appeal more to traditional FSBO sellers, so it's not hitting us nearly as hard. In fact, it can be an angle for sellers. :)

That's great! I like to hope that there's some chance for salvation out there.

Only cause they'll see it as an advertisement. You better expect to put in some work, and start exercising those jaw muscles now.
(and yes, I am going to keep using this image of Bill, as I always liked Bloom County)

really!? Mazel tov! that's great, Laserbitch!
(maybe I should read live journal more often!)
Opened a shop in Dinkytown with SaraCura last July, still sticking it, as the pioneers on the prairie used to say. It's cut into my traveling but it's worthwhile. Been dating that tall, dark & handsome Monsterboy since last June, also.

Congratulations on the kid, Laserbitch!
And what kind of shop, Alis?

Recording music 6-7 days a week, fully booked-up into mid June.
One great thing about the arts and music, when the economy sucks the music community (90% Liberals, at least the good musicians..) stays busy because entertainment and escape are good business in shitty times.

lurking for the most part is what i have been up to...
working at ground zero, bartending at the state/pantages/orpheum theatres, finally not living in a crappy box apartment in uptown - instead i'm living in a house in south mpls with a roommate (who is very awesome!), getting back into runway modeling, oh, and trying really hard to pretend that i am enjoying the single life.

Eiriegirl, I wish you the best of luck with your modeling. And yeah. The single life. Woot.

Music I play can be found at myspace/kontrolpanel
Seriously lacking in getting our stuff tracked, we're in writing mode.
Otherwise, stuff we've recorded is all over the place. Country, Cantors, Classical, Bluegrass, Jazz, etc. etc.
Some of my favourite music that we did in the past year is The Spaghetti Western String Company, look them up. They're great.

Truly, an amazing testament to insomniacs everywhere. But I'm glad you're keeping busy. What film did you win the award for?
